Friends of Del Norte is a non-profit organization supported by individual memberships, donations and grants.

We were founded in 1973 in hopes of preserving and protecting what all citizens of Del Norte County treasure--its beautiful wildlands, wildlife and waters.

The Friends of Del Norte does NOT have an "anti-growth" - "anti-jobs" pohilosophy.  Rather we want to make sure that environmental issues remain an important part of any discussion and on how our county grows and prospers.
