Upcoming Lily Bulb Pesticide Meeting October 8th, 6 - 9 p.m.:

Next month, at the County Board of Supervisors Chambers (981 H Street, Room 100, Crescent City, CA), the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board staff will be presenting information regarding the developing General Waste Discharge Requirements for Commercial Lily Bulb Operations in the Smith River Plain (also known as the Lily Bulb Order) that the state water board is developing in order to legitimize the continued degradation of the Wild and Scenic Smith River, through toxic lily bulb waste. This is an important opportunity to show up and give public comments to help demonstrate community opposition to the continued practice of toxic pollution of the community of Smith River.

Stay informed & get alerts from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation when pesticides are being sprayed near your residence. Sign up here or at the link above!

Additionally, if you think you’ve been exposed to pesticides from lily bulb farms in Smith River, whether it’s in the soil, water, or air, call Del Norte Public Health: (707)-465-0426. We also recommend you to report the incident to call to the Department of Public Health and ask to speak to a Nurse.
